Seven young ladies met at the Girls╩╝ Classical School of Indianapolis (May Wright Sewall) and founded the now statewide sorority in 1901. Each young lady was to begin a chapter in her hometown. From these humble beginnings, Tri Kappa has thrived throughout the state with 146 Active Chapters and 114 Associate Chapters, totaling almost 9,000 actively participating members. All totaled chapter members in the Hoosier state raise more than than $1.5 million annual to support people throughout the state of Indiana.

Zionsville Zeta Sigma Chapter of Tri Kappa was founded in 1973. The chapter specifically raises funds each year to support local non-profits and our schools through a grant making process. Students at the college level are welcome to apply for scholarships. To raise these funds, chapter members actively volunteer at community events along with specific Tri Kappa fundraising events, Santa Breakfast in December and Savor, Sip and See each spring. The chapter also sells butter braids during the fall.

Membership to Tri Kappa is by invitation. Prospective members are sponsored by active Tri Kappas and voted on by the chapter. If you are interested, check out our membership list and contact one of us. We’d love for you to join us!
